Reeling in Serenity’s Mission

Reeling in Serenity has conducted fly fishing retreats for men and women in active recovery from substance abuse across the country. We typically conduct them on public and private stretches of pristine river, perfect for finding the peace that accompanies the sport of fly fishing while exploring what each participants’ sobriety means to them.

What you need to bring?

Yourself! Reeling in Serenity provides everything a participant needs for a day on the water with us. From gear like waders, boots, and rods to a delicious lunch for all who participate, we will take care of everything you need for an incredible day in nature amongst likeminded individuals. All we ask is to bring a positive attitude and an open minded approach to the sport of fly fishing and we take care of the rest.

Our Services

Retreats

We offer 1 and 2 day retreats to bring participants together to experience nature and support each other while learning the basics of Fly Fishing.

Participants do not have to have previous experience fishing and you can learn at your own pace. The primary goal is to enjoy the outdoors, have fun and experience something new!

Connection

By connecting with others in the recovery community you build a support network. We want to break the barrier of isolation. Sharing our experiences can bring us one step closer to continued sobriety. Our team and Board of Directors are dedicated to helping those in recovery.

Sharing what you do with others to take your recovery one day at a time could make all the difference to someone who is struggling.

Recovery

It works if you work it. And yes, you get out of your program what you put in to it . Recovery is a ‘we’ program and we look forward to walking (or wading!) this journey with you.
