The people you'll meet on the water

Reeling in Serenity is run entirely by volunteers. Nobody here draws a salary — not the board, not the staff, not the guides. Everyone on this page has another job and does this on top of it.

Our team

Sylvia Huron

Co-Founder & Executive Director

My recovery and fly fishing go hand in hand. Spending time on the water surrounded by nature keeps me grounded, and life is so much better on this side of the river.

William Henry

Education Program Coordinator

Fly fishing has been essential to
maintaining my sobriety since 2007. Volunteering here lets me combine all my passions and give back to my sober community.

Jennifer Gilbert

Co-Founder & Outreach Director

When I chose to go to rehab in 2017, fly fishing helped me get sober and connect to my higher power. My hope is to help the newcomer find that same peace and joy.

Jamie Eisenberg

Volunteer Staff

I started fly fishing right after hitting my bottom from drug and alcohol abuse. Reeling in Serenity knits together the things that matter most in my life.

Ian Huron

Co-Founder & Technology Director

Fly fishing helped both my mom and one of my best friends recover from addiction. I'll forever pay forward the kindness this sport showed the people I love.

James McKean

Volunteer Staff

I got sober June 15th, 1994, and
discovered fly fishing by accident trying to catch shoal bass on the Chattahoochee. You really begin to understand when you give it away.

Georgia Zmijewski

Communications Director

The addiction gene runs deep in my family. Fly fishing has been a vital part of my life and my healing journey, and I have always turned to it.
